Top 5 des expositions à ne pas manquer en 2023 en France
Cette année encore, les musées et les institutions culturelles nous réservent de belles surprises. Matisse, Basquiat, Warhol, Dalí, David Hockney, Niki de Saint Phalle, nous avons sélectionné pour vous cinq expositions à ne surtout pas rater en 2023 !
1. Musée de l’Orangerie à Paris : l’exposition « Matisse, Cahiers d’art, le tournant des années 30 »
Le génie Matisse est exposé au musée de l’Orangerie du 1er mars au 29 mai. Une période spécifique est mise en avant : celle des années 1930. En effet, durant l’entre-deux-guerres l’artiste part pour Tahiti. Au cours de cette décennie, Matisse publie dans une revue intitulée « Cahiers d’art ». Grâce aux publications, l’exposition rend compte non seulement des œuvres de l’époque mais également du contexte dans lequel elles ont été réalisées. On peut y trouver notamment des dessins, des gravures, des sculptures, des archives et des fragments de films de l’époque.

2. Fondation Louis Vuitton : l’exposition « Basquiat x Warhol » à quatre mains »
Après la rétrospective de Jean Michel Basquiat en 2018, la fondation Louis Vuitton inaugure l’exposition conjointe « Basquiat x Warhol » dès le 05 avril. Il s’agit là d’un duo plutôt fusionnel, avec pas moins de 160 toiles réalisées entre 1984 et 1985. Trois cent œuvres seront mises à l’honneur pour l’occasion, dont quatre-vingt signées par la main des deux artistes. La visite laissera entrevoir la relation d’amitié des deux hommes, ainsi que leur évidente inspiration commune.

3. Musée Granet d’Aix-en-Provence : l’exposition « David Hockney, collection de la Tate »
En collaboration avec la Tate Gallery, le musée Granet présente une rétrospective de David Hockney du 28 janvier au 28 mai. Les œuvres prêtées par le Tate donnent à voir le parcours de l’artiste des années 1950 à nos jours. Hockney est dénommé aujourd’hui l’artiste le plus cher du monde. Il avait exposé à Paris au musée de l’Orangerie en 2021 pour l’exposition « A year in Normandy », ou il avait notamment utilisé sa tablette pour représenter les quatre saisons.

4. Musée des Abattoirs de Toulouse : exposition Niki de Saint Phalle, Les années 1980 et 1990
Le Musée des Abattoirs de Toulouse expose l’artiste franco-américaine en se focalisant sur les années 80/90. Au cours de ces années, Niki réalise des œuvres monumentales comme la Fontaine Stravinsky avec Jean Tinguely ou les célèbres nanas. Elle crée des œuvres et des objets de manière libérée, même engagée (conviction féministe, visibilité des minorités). On retiendra de ses dernières créations la vitalité joyeuse de ses personnages.

5. Bassins des Lumières de Bordeaux : l’exposition « Salvador Dali, l’énigme sans fin »
L’exposition du Bassins des Lumières plonge littéralement dans l’univers onirique de l’artiste. A l’aide de projections et de reflets, les peintures de Salvador Dali peuvent être appréciées en grand format. Les chefs d’œuvres comme la Mémoire au visage ou Léda atomique seront projetées. Le fantastique de ses œuvres, mêlé avec le répertoire du groupe des Pink Floyd fera de la visite une expérience irréelle unique.
